A guilty boy. A bell and a mother- Refreshing Short Story

A short story about a teenage boy finds comfort by admitting to a crime to a mother. However, things aren’t how they seem.

The Crimson sky was over his head as he walked towards the door. A seventeen year old with difficult decisions in tow. ‘Is it really worth it?” he wondered. Maybe not, but he needed to finish this game once and for all.

The brown wooden door seemed more daunting than ever. He noticed the stains on the golden door knob. He would know, he had been staring straight at it for days now.  There were so many times he had tried to do this but couldn’t. So many times that his fears overcame his intentions.

Brain vs Heart vs soul, Who to choose? [Short Relatable story for every girl]

cover
“Did he lie about loving her?” The soul whispered to the heart.
Maybe he didn’t mean it as much as we thought he did” The heart, one of her three best friends whispered back.
Almost like it was a slap in her face, the girl sucked air in and held the arm chair tighter.
Why? Why did he not love me the same?
“The matter of the fact is that he didn’t love you as much as He thought he did” Stated the brain. Fresh lime juice over a burnt wound.
Maybe he did love you Naomi, but he….fell out?” the soul reasoned. She looked up at the ceiling and pursed her lips. The soul immediately knew it shouldn’t have said that.
Fell out? That was the worst possibility of them all. It would mean that he did love her at a point and then…didn’t. What did she do wrong? How did he just fall out so easily? Their relationship was so strong a moment ago but now it doesn’t exist. What?
“Why did he fall out of love? I mean he stuck around through worse times than this and it was a simple argument, right? Maybe he didn’t ever love me to begin with” Naomi finally added to the conversation.
“You are right, I agree! I think he just acted the whole way, never really loved” Spat out the heart in vengeance. It was hurt and needed someone to else to be hurt with it. Naomi was an easy target.
Out of all the possibilities presented this one was the most acceptable one. Though it hurt quite the same, if not more. Maybe he never loved her.

Why we desperately need girl friendships in today’s times.

Girl friend a.k.a A women’s constant companion, support and a mirror in public places.

On this girl friend’s day I thought to myself, why is it important? Why do we need it? Why do we need it in today’s times?
So I asked my girl friends about it and it changed how my thinking.

Here are some of the answers I got from my girlfriends-

  • We need girl friendships because now is the time we are speaking out, breaking the rules and standing strong. Women were always badasses and we always fought but it is now that our efforts are being seen and heard. So we need to fight harder, together.
  • We need girl friendships because right now, is the perfect time to hold hands and pull each other up. It’s the perfect time to break old clichés that we were taught about hate, scratching and pulling each other down. And should finally, respect each other.

This is what losing your best friend actually feels like.

HO! HO! I am back. Gosh, I missed being here.
The whole rush of posting and the fear of waiting and the craziness all of this involves. I missed this.
First of all, I am sorry about not being around for a while. My email subscribers know the reasons and I hope they have forgiven me.
If you haven’t. Then I am sorry but life really took over the wheel.
I really regret the decision of giving up. I apologise. I won’t do that again.
SO I am back and going to publish on every Saturday.
Just like before.
I really hope to see you all there again.

You can be ready for a war but not for losing a best friend.
You didn’t see it coming. You are still trying to figure out the hows and whys of it all.
One moment everything was great, you both were laughing and making promises to stay. Heck, you both had dreams to go on a road trip.
Forever was something that seemed possible. You honestly believed you both could go through anything that life threw at you.
There was a bond you both had, a certain trust and a little maturity. What else could a friendship need?
Yes, friendship.
It gets difficult because if you lose a lover, you still have your best friend to rant to. But if you lose your best friend there are stones in your throat and even when you try telling other people things. You cannot tell the whole story even if you try. How can you? They are not your best friend!
Losing a best friend is like losing your partner in crime, your three am call and your cheerleader all at once.
Yet there is so much more than that.

What it felt like to win for the First Time, ever

My head was spinning a little, my legs felt like they would give in at any moment and between it all I felt like flying. Yet somehow  it all felt right.

It is a very weird emotion, you want to live in that moment forever but want it to end soon. So you can run and feed that hunger that begins growing in you with that happiness. It is like adrenaline. You want more and more of it.  This growing hunger screams ‘we need to get more of these medals’. This hunger slowly drives you insane but keeps you sane too.
